Shell Service Centre
The relationship between Baldasso Cortese and Shell started in 1993, and has evolved through several significant phases.
Initially working direct for Shell, Baldasso Cortese was responsible for the design of the first co-tenanted Shell-Hungry Jacks site.
A close working relationship developed, which enabled Baldasso Cortese to assist Shell in identifying and developing numerous fuel sites across Australia from 1995 onwards.
By 2003 the Shell-Coles Express alliance had formed, and Baldasso Cortese was integral in rolling out new store concepts across Australia.
In 2006, Shell decided to outsource the project management of their retail developments, and the Meinhardt/Baldasso Cortese team was successful in securing this contract. This involved the construction of dozens of new and refurbished sites across all states. Two of the more significant recent developments being the Eastlink and Westgate service centre concepts, developed as part of Shell’s bid to secure these sites into the future.
