Rumbalara Elders Care Facility

A 30 bed aged care facility catering for low, high and dementia care Aboriginal elders on a greenfield site. The accommodation includes a commercial café and dining spaces for both residents and external users, in-house laundry facilities, activities areas, lounge area, hairdressing and podiatry and a palliative care unit.
The design for this facility was generated from the Yorta Yorta people’s affinity with the Barmah Forest and their ‘connection to the earth’.
This facility is designed to cater for a second stage development which will accommodate a further 30 beds.
