This 16 storey retail and office building was constructed in 1967 as headquarters for the Commonwealth Bank.  Fivex bought the property in 2001 and engaged Baldasso Cortese to  update the retail areas and progressively refurbish the office building.

A new façade was installed in 2004 and common areas have been fully refurbished throughout. The podium floors have been provided with escalator access and converted into retail and fitness centre.

Ground floor shops have been sub-divided and transformed into food and convenience retail. A childcare has been provided at level 4 spreading over the podium roof.

In 2018, a building was constructed above the childcare centre offering 5 new floors of office space, each independently accessed by bridge link from the old tower.

The design of this building is innovative, contemporary and environmentally sustainable.  The structural solution is technically complex, with a frame of identically-proportioned cruciform steel members lined in non-combustible aluminium.  Floors are cross-laminated timber cassettes with perimeter full-height openable windows and exposed services.

Podium floors have been converted into retail, fitness centre and childcare while the ground floor have been transformed into high yielding food and retail shops, successfully
re-positioning the building commercially.
